What is your favorite grill/smoker?
« Reply #-1 on: August 25, 2016, 07:28:53 PM »
I know most of us have multiple outdoor cookers,  some dedicated to certain tasks,  some can wear many hats.  Which one could you not do without?

For me I'd have to give the overall nod to my Keg. We have 3 of them and I remember the day I bought my first one. Steph didn't really want me to spend $700 on a grill but she went along with it. It was an early birthday present. The defining moment came when I smoked a pork butt on it (which was the primary reason I bought the keg). It came out so good with so little effort,  I was hooked. I was so excited by it that I called Steph at work and told her it was awesome. She left work early just to come home and eat it. Once she ate it,  she too was hooked!

This has lead us both down this BBQ road on an endless adventure. We've both upped our game cooking wise and she loves to grill and smoke so it's worked out really well for me  ;D

These days the Kegs get used mostly for high heat stuff,  pizzas, steaks and burgers.  The low and slow stuff goes in the Smokin-It more times than not but that will change when I have time to use the KBQ.

So,  let's hear your choices!

My favorite is my Blazn Grill Works Grid Iron pellet grill. BUT, if I had to have only 1 it would be my 22" kettle. With the slow n sear I can do just about anything in it I want. What I really want is to get a 26" Weber. If I ever can get my 2 WSM's sold I will be buying one.

Alright, most smoke comes from the PBC without doubt the best, second goes to the PK, Third to the Visions Ceramic and fourth goes to the RecTec although with the Smokin tube it can easily by number two. Just my amateur opinion  :)

OMG I am agreeing with TEE LOL

Look as a Yankee I am not big on smoked food. I like grills.....Pellets are also not my thing.

So my Sears gas grill, My 18.5 Weber charcoal my hitch mounted grill for on the move cooking. My Big easy...How can I pick one over the other.  I almost forgot my fryer & my butane stove

I will say that I will try the smoke tubes now that I have them to give it another try.

So all the above...sorry RG

I have a New Braunfels folded offset.
It's the best charcoal grill , a very good offset stick burner & with a 36 in main chamber I use as a indirect smoker a lot.
With 2 cooking layers I've cooked pork tenderloin for 150 to a single steak  8)
I've got a Weber kettle, a WSM , a kamado cooker, several Weber gas grills, & a big homemade cooker & as I'd rather have my indirect cooker than any other
New Braunfels El Darado
Hasty-Bake
Genesis S-330 gasser
Weber Red Genesis 1000
Weber q220
CharBroil CB-740
Char-Griller Kamodo
Curbside kettle

Very nice selections guys! I love the explanations as to why it's your choice as well. Makes me want to buy more grills :)
