What are the temperature limitations? I am going to guess this is a good idea for cold smoking, but not hot smoking or grilling.... 8)

I came home one day to find my dad screwing a pair of my stepmoms nylons to the ceiling over the kitchen sink where they commenced to strain the seeds out of some sort of fruit jelly they were making. I was fifteen and have never ate jelly since. My dad is 75 now and they still think its funny to send me jelly for Christmas every year. My Brother ends up with both jars.

Well little do you guys know that a lot of your deli food is wrapped in whats called a beef bung. I think it don't matter whats used on the outside as long as it's clean.
Definition of a beef bung:
Quote
Beef Bungs—Are removed from viscera after the round gut has been taken off. They are immediately flushed and stripped of contents, carefully fatted, turned, and slimed. If the bungs contain any nodules or pimples they are carefully trimmed with a surgeon's shears. Beef bungs are used for ham bologna, mortadella, minced ham sausage, large bologna and lachshinken.
The cecum or anus especially of a slaughtered animal

Sounds like a good idea, as long as we don't progress to panty hose.  Then, I would have some reservations.

Boy, if they haven't been washed before dry curing, it could bring a while new meaning to the flavor profile.  Just saying...
