The Big Day in pictures (lots of pictures)
« Reply #-1 on: August 24, 2014, 09:38:00 PM »
OK, cooking is done and I'm worn out  :P :P :P

We cooked just south of 2000 burgers and 600 hot dogs and it was hotter than (well you know)  So hot near the grills I got burn blisters on my fingers  ??? ??? ??? ???

We were using open grill and it was very hard to control the heat but somehow we managed  ;D  There were 1700+ people eating.  Truly a great day and a blessing for all of us!

I took my extra large spatula as a joke but wound up needing it to move burgers to the holding trays

I told them next year Burger King can cater :D :D :D :D :D :D

replenish your fluids buddy.  nice job.  and a good thing you did helping out.  bravo.... how were the hamburgers?
These were 5.3 oz burgers and they really were good, no weird taste just good.  All we did to season them was Lawry's season salt and cooked over Kingsford comp-charcoal

Poor Kimmie had to help wrap burgers and hot dog so folks could walk in line get a burger/hot dog and keep moving to the condiments tables where we had everything ready to grab and go.

2000 + slices of cheese were individually wrapped and lettuce was in bowls to take as needed, ketchup and mustard were in packs as well

I was ready to jump into the drink troughs where we had everything iced down and cold ;)
