When something like this happens you feel that you need to do something but you don't know what. I know I made way too much food but that was my contribution. He came back to work on Thursday for the first time and I know it was tough. We all tried to make it as normal as possible, but is normal after this.
I agree RAD, when any of our friends have trouble, we have trouble. As a friend we feel we should man the sandbags and keep the water back. We generally help with food as well, because the last thing anyone who has had shock, and loss, thinks of, it is food. But you know, you got to eat. A nice meal when you're grieving, and going through a lot of emotions, can be a very comforting touch! But truly the best thing is for them to know that you have their backs for anything!
Good luck with your friend and his family RAD!
