New use for a Bundt Cake Pan
« Reply #-1 on: February 09, 2014, 12:36:44 PM »
I just saw this on food network's the Kitchen show and was wondering if anyone had ever tried this. They used the bundt pan like a vertical chicken roaster to roast a whole chicken and they it looked like they had potatoes, carrot's and onions around the bottom of the pan. They did warn to put a small cookie sheet or something under it in case some fat drips down the center hole.

I think it would be a good method for the SRG/TBE or a any other good smoker/grill but I wonder how the veggies would be with the chicken fat dripping down into them.

I would think that - as long as you added a couple of other seasonings ( example-salt, pepper, a bit of rosemary or dill )to the veggies, they would roast nicely and taste great.
BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience.

When I take my lab to dog trials I drive a stake through the middle of a bundt pan, tie her to the stake and fill the pan with water....been told I should patent it.  I know it has nothing to do with cooking but just another use for the versatile bundt pan

That is a brilliant idea, I'm going to use it when we go camping and trail riding.
