Traditional stick burner vs reverse flow vs pellet cooker vs ceramic kamado...

MAK 2 Star #3236, Weber 26.75" kettle, 36" Blackstone griddle, 17" Blackstone griddle.

That's just great.  Wish I never seen this video.  Now I want a meadow creek smoker.  The one smoker I haven't tried yet.  D@mn you Robb.    Meadow creek ts 70 looks good.

That's just great.  Wish I never seen this video.  Now I want a meadow creek smoker.  The one smoker I haven't tried yet.  D@mn you Robb.    Meadow creek ts 70 looks good.

The results don’t at all surprise me. I’d be more surprised if the results were not bent toward stick burners.  Having cooked extensively on both, I will be the first to say that in my opinion sticks win! That said, it is also my opinion that if running a super clean fire in a stick burner, that the difference between sticks and pellets is not huge. I have often said that I can easily obtain 90% of the smoke profile my stick burner used to lay down with 10% of the work involved.  Reading through the comments from Jeremy’s (Mad Scientist BBQ) video... here is a screenshot of a comment and then Jeremy’s response:

Get yourself a KBQ and call it a day. I guarantee it'll hang with any stick burner. Cheaper too!
A revolving door of cookers and smokers. Some are keepers, some are here today, gone tomorrow!
