I read yesterday that Governor Jerry Brown of the Unusual State of California has just signed a bill authorizing that the three different kinds of people in California, men, women and in-between, have a choice in using rest room facilities especially the in-between people. In-between people if they feel like it can choose which rest room facility to use either the men's room or the Lady's room.

I am so grateful that I live in TEXAS. Where Men are Men and Women are in charge.

And - he probably has the same mixed feelings about his home state that we all have for our own - but nobody like to be picked on that much - huh?

( Besides - you can pick on Texas - it is a bigger target, and as any true Texan knows...that crap ain't true anyhow )

+1 to that, and I ain't even a native Texan.    I tell people I moved from the country to come to Texas and not to it.  They call the area of PA that I am from "Pennsyltucky" if that gives you an idea.  I always knew I would fit right in down here.

I was born and raised in cali.  do I like everything about it.  nope.  but you can't say you love everything about ya'll states either.  from where I live in a 2 hour drive I can be in Tahoe, reno, napa, san Francisco, santa cruz.  I can go surfing in the morning and backpacking in the mountains in the afternoon.  very few ppl can say that!  and that's all I got to say about that.

NO matter where you are from -we ALL have things about our home states that we wish were different. Notice: I did not say BETTER. Better connotes an authoritative view of what is right or wrong with a place.  That goes to personal preference. And - we are all entitled to our own opinion, and to not have someone else's forced on us in an uncomfortable fashion.

I - like many others here - have traveled much of the world. And I can tell you that no matter how bleak the place I was in at any moment - there was something to love about it. And - the opposite was also just as true. No matter how popular, beautiful and perceived as desirable a location - there were always things about it that made it either dangerous, or cold feeling.

The bottom line is that no one place can escape being a target, or the butt of a joke. Let's not carry this any further into being offensive.
