I think the pig definitely outdoes the dog as man's best friend  ;)

At least the pig is a more nourishing "best friend". :)...At least in my neighborhood. I zuppose that may vary by culture too... ;D
BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience.

never saw a stray dog or cat when I was in Vietnam  ;)

One Monday morning, years ago, I came into my office to find my admin assistant in tears over something.  Inquiring as to her uncharacteristic mood, I was informed that she had new neighbors -- a Korean family.  They had been getting along nicely until Sunday afternoon when, for a family gathering, they roasted a dog on a spit in the front yard and my secretary called the police!  Seems (at least at that time) there was no law against cooking a dog in Nashville, TN and the police weren't terribly sympathetic with her.  It took several days for her to get over the event and learn the term "culture shock".

If I was her I would keep my dogs or cats in the house.
