I took my grate and charcoal baskets out of the old Weber I kept and put em in my Old Smokey. Ordered the top holder and the leg extensions and a 3" thermometer from Old Smokey.  Took the old Weber out to the street last night...it was gone this morning!

Thank You Captain.

The grill grates my good buddy gave me are for the Weber 22.5 so I can use them in my pellet poopers as well as the Old Smokey!

smoke - to know:

something for all to know:
when you buy the Weber hinged grill to use on the 22" OldSmokey
the Weber hinged grill is 21½" in diameter
the stock grill from OldSmokey is 21"
the stock grill sits on the 3 top leg screws that come through the base cabinet
but the Weber's extra 1/2" in diameter keeps it from resting on the 3 screws

what I did to make the Weber grill stable on the cabinet base was to put 3- 3/16" pop rivets through from the outside, at about 1" below the lip. they work great for supporting the larger Weber grill
and don't interfere with the stock 21" grill from resting on the three screws
