Help me pick one please....
« Reply #-1 on: February 13, 2013, 09:10:54 PM »
I think I want to buy a Wi-Fi connectable dual temp probe controller unit that I can use in any cooker. I want to be able to power a blower/fan and see the temp. in the cooker, and the temp of the meat.

Ideas? Suggestions? Smart remarks? :D

And...if you have experience with one or more of hte brands available - what do you like - and more importantly - NOT like about them?

Is this so you don't have to stay at home and drink beer, or some other adult beverage while you are cooking?  Way too high tech!!  Stay home and drink like the rest of us!!!

Sounds like you need to speak to Art or Bill Merrill. They seem to know quite a bit about the Rock's Stoker.

Maybe he wants to be at the strip club (do they have those in western NC?) having an adult beverage while he minds the pit at home.

I don't know about the controller part, but if something changes and you decide to go with a wireless thermometer with two probes, I cannot speak highly enough about the Maverick ET732.

I generally use two food probes rather than a food and a pit probe.
