New LOW CARB site for those interested
« Reply #-1 on: February 23, 2019, 08:42:50 PM »
Just want to let everyone know there is a new low carb forum on the net and it's a sister site with this one.

It's called lets talk low carb or  http://letstalklowcarb.com      It's been in the works for a few months but now it's time to let it go and grow like this site has.

The need is there for such a site and with a few friends we are able to bring it on line and post low carb recipes, talk health issues and just give info on the subject.

So if your interested come join the group.  Keep in mind we are new and still getting it going but it's going to be fun, informative and a great place for low carb information

Groovy. Just registered. I've dropped 50 lbs. over the last year which is just a drop in the bucket. I'm a big big guy. My wife just earned her 50 lb. pin at Weight Watchers!

Re: New LOW CARB site for those interested - IMPORTANT!!!

IMPORTANT!!!

A good deal of thought and work has already gone into setting up this new forum, but there is still more to be done yet.

Amongst other things, I still need to setup an email server so the SMF forum software can send out email notifications for account activations, etc.  So... if you do sign up, and don't get any sort of email, just check back later to see if you can login.  We are checking for signups and activating them as we can.

Hey, at least it's up and running now!  :D

Special thanks:

This could not be done by any one person alone!

A HUGE hat tip to Tommy.  He is the one who's been pushing for this forum!  Tommy will be leading the moderation team over there, as well as learning a new skill set to handle some of the admin stuff like account sign-ups, etc.

Thanks to Tim who will also be around throwing his 2½¢ in both figuratively and literally, as he is the one financing this venture!  :D

My main job will be handling the "behind the scenes" stuff (website & forum setup/maintenance, etc.) and I'll also chip in as a member and part-time moderator (as needed).

Be sure to check it out. I think it's starting to look pretty good and should be another great forum with a whole new set of friendly folks!

Let us know what you think!

Cliff

I'm glad you posted the info about the email verification.  I registered a while ago, and just logged into this new forum.  Weight and blood sugar have me on the low carb path, and I look forward to how the new forum will widen that path!

Good to know it's working well!  Let me tell you getting the email setup with GoDaddy was a royal pain in the you-know-what!

Thanks for posting!
