If you gave us your recipe, his would still be safe, right? C'mon RG, SPILL THE BEANS, and nobody gets hurt! LOL, I see the logic in that but all I did was scale it down to a smaller version since I didn't want to even attempt cooking 20 pounds of beans. I don't know what I would do with that many beans It's still his recipe, just in 1/20 scale, lolI'll give you a few hints though. It's got great northern beans and some onion

Now what do i do with the 25# sack of pinto beans I bought in anticipation? Make lots of Chili! That is unless you're one of the chili "purists" that don't put beans in chili I for one like it both ways. My son makes a chili that uses filets, roasted chilis and onions and it's awesome! Not a bean to be found but you don't miss them
For those who are wondering (you'd have to be a long-time member)...Yes, I see the beans and tomatoes in chili comments/recommendations. Yes, those people are still wrong. No, I'm not going to try to educate them other than to say, "Beans are a (wonderful) side dish and tomatoes belong in pasta sauce. Neither of them belong in chili."Please note that the kinder, gentler, older me only said it one time, didn't use a HUGE font, and did not rant.I am not ill but I have upped my Scotch intake.I do not guarantee that I will exhibit the same forbearance for wet wood discussions.
