As you said, some of us have two.
I can't get enough of my homemade oyster dressing. I will eat it for days after turkey day. (covered with gravy of course)

And..... deviled eggs. No matter how many we fix, (yes I said we, because V actually does most of the work on the deviled eggs) I will keep eating them until they are gone. Such a simple dish, but I just can't stop eating them.

Now that you have made me shame myself, I'm going to go make myself some deviled eggs. :P

Same here!
Except on years where we go to FIL's, like this year. So we have a second Thanksgiving meal at our home with close friends,  usually on Saturday. This allows the so-called "midnight turkey sandwich with dressing, cranberry sauce and gravy" tradition to go on. And who am I to stop such a great tradition! 8)

I am also a gravy man. I make a lot of extra so that I can smother the leftovers.

To me the turkey is just an excuse to make a big ol' panful of homemade gravy to pour over the homemade dressing!

I love homemade turkey gravy (OK ANY homemade gravy) so much I have been known to pour some into a mug and drink it!

It appears I am not the only one who thinks the Thanksgiving feast is all about GRAVY  ;D

I CRAVE the cheap, canned jellied fake cranberry sauce ( we call it SPLOCK - from the sound it makes coming out of the can ;)... mouth watering as it type :D...) to go with turkey, dressing and gravy.

O.K. - your turn ;D

One more comment:  After years of research and careful listening, my family has christened that cheap, canned jellied fake cranberry sauce SPLORK.  So, I must ask the academic question:  Is it SPLOCK or is it SPLORK  ;)

Here is my version of homemade cranberry orange relish, with tequila or orange liqueur.  It has always been a family hit at turkey time.

Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish

Recipe By: Ocean Spray (http://www.oceanspray.com/Recipes/Corporate/Sauces,-Sides-Salads/Fresh-Cranberry-Orange-Relish.aspx)

Yield: 3 cups

Ingredients:

1 each unpeeled orange, cut into eights and seeded
1 package Ocean Spray fresh cranberries, 12 ouncesm rinsed and drained
3/4 cup sugar, up to 1 cup

Directions:

1. Place half the cranberries and half the orange slices in food processor container. Process until mixture is evenly chopped.

2. Transfer to a bowl. Repeat with remaining cranberries and orange slices. Stir in sugar.

3. Store in refrigerator or freezer.

Notes:

To “kick it up”, you can add tequila.

Another twist is to add some orange liqueur.

Pam's Cranberry Holiday Salad
1 pkg raspberry or any red jello
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 orange ground with rind
1 apple ground, cored but not peeled
2 cups ground cranberries
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
pineapple - optional
Prepare jello with 1.5 cups water,  when medium thick, and mix with everything else. Pour into mold and let set up
To serve, I mix sour cream with some honey till it tastes good, better than whipped cream.
This is my take on cranbery salad. Enjoy.

Nope , Not any more.  When I met Kerry she made real cranberry sauce for our first Thanksgiving. OMG!  what I had been missing all those years! It is  awesome to say the least and after Thanksgiving I have been know to put it and goat cheese stuffed inside pork chops on the grill.

No more cans for me!

PS> Her stuffing is ridiculously good too....   I can't wait !

SOOOO>>>>

Does that mean we can count on a couple of recipes from you or Kerry? ;) ;D

AND...Will anyone that has put a recipe in this thread please also copy it to our recipes section? That way - it will be where we can find it when we want to make it! THANKS!
