Ribs on the Pellet
« Reply #-1 on: January 16, 2017, 01:06:54 PM »
Done some Ribs on the Pellet Grill over the weekend. Not real sure what all I put on them, just a bunch of random spices/herbs from the cupboard. All in all they weren't to bad but could have been cooked a little longer. They were still a little tight on the bone for how I like them.

Thanks for looking!!!

They do look good. Always write down what you put on your ribs. What if they were the best you ever cooked and you couldn't duplicate the recipe? Also a toothpick should go in easily between the bones to help tell if they are done enough, or pickup one end of the rack and see if it bends and the meat cracks on top.
"Vegetarian" is an old Indian word for bad hunter.

Here's one of hundreds of good approaches to be found here concerning how to cook a perfect rib:

http://www.letstalkbbq.com/index.php?topic=584.0

Bear in mind that "3-2-1" doesn't mean hours, it means relative timing and gets adjusted to your cooker and your preferences.  The fun part of learning it comes in two rewards -- you'll produce some yummy mistakes to eat and, once you find your "sweet spot" you'll get rave reviews for your ribs.

Great ribs are part of a learning curve, not an accidental find  ;D

Agree with Fred and Hub.  Those look pretty good, but if you don't keep track of where you've been, you never be able to figure out how to get where you want to go.
