Heavy Rain, Street Flooding and a Simple Omelet
« Reply #-1 on: April 01, 2016, 01:29:32 PM »

Well, it was intended to be just a simple omelet.

It's a rainy day here in southeast Louisiana and it got worse a couple of hours ago. It was unbelievable how hard and heavy the rain was. So much so that as I was preparing my breakfast I went to looks out the front door to discover that the street was flooded and between the idiots driving that don't give a damn and cause a big wake and the rising water my Sequoia was close to getting flooed and water getting inside the thing. So I went and moved it to the driveway. Still flooded over two hours later and heavy rain still coming down.

Over a foot deep here.

Anyway, so I get back to my omelet which after doing a little fridge cleaning/leftover using turned into a big breakfast with leftover boudin, shredded cheese, jalapeno peppers, tater tots turned hash browns on the side and leftover Root Beer Glazed Ham.

Another big cup of coffee too!

Only way to describe this meal is a big Mmmmmmmmm..............................!!!!!

Now that is a mighty fine breakfast Cajun!!! My street used to flood bad until the city put in a lift station and some drain work in our area. I used to get crazy fast drivers too, makes you want to throw something at them! Don

Cajun your rain is over here too. Wet wet wet... they are saying its going to keep on until about 10PM.  But that breakfast looks like the perfect thing for the wet day.
I suppose to cook a couple chickens this evening. Guess I'll be grilling in the rain. I'll be starting on a roof for the grill deck next I think...

YUM!!!  That's a fine looking omelet.

We had flooding in our town a few years ago, only blocks from our house too, and I remember what an absolute mess it was. Fortunately our house sits up on a hill area.

Hope the waters have subsided for you!
That plate of food would be great in flood or drought,  morning or night! Nice job!
