Who knows Their trees and berries? I need some help
« Reply #-1 on: September 19, 2014, 12:25:52 PM »
So I'm out walking the bush line looking for mushrooms and I came across this tree. The berries or fruit looked like crab apples at first until I picked one. I have never seen these that I know of around here. I tried looking on the internet and I probably could spend all day looking so I'm putting this out to all you knowledgeable people. Now remember I live in northern Ontario if that helps.

Looks like a plum?

Smells like plum, feels like a plum, tastes like a plum, then it must be a plum.  :P :P :P

We had a dwarf plum tree that produced plums looking very similar to what in in your last photo except they were green in color and never did change.  However, sweet as sugar and juicy they were, even though so small.

A bear split the tree in half some years ago as it was eating the plums, and the tree died.

JACKIE AND WILL’S 2014 SEEDS
The list of seeds we have for sale this year is ready. We only listed seeds that we grow and love. Some of them are very rare and thus in short supply. When we’re out, we’re out; we can either refund your money or put you on the list for your seeds to come late this fall after harvest to plant next year. All are naturally grown with NO GMOs! They are also all heirloom, open pollinated seeds so you can save your own seeds.
